Working in a team of five, my role was to assist in user research as well as support the Lead Designer. I enjoyed working with this team and we were able to create a product that not only showcases effective functionalities but is aesthetically fun for users to enjoy.

Product Concept

‍

Pet owners experience high levels of stress and inconvenience when they visit traditional veterinary clinics, which is further compounded by a perceived lack of personal connection and empathetic care from veterinary staff. As a result, there is a need for a virtual veterinary app that provides a more convenient and emotionally supportive experience, while still offering expert medical care for pets.

User Research

‍

When completing the research plan, we wanted to focus our understanding of the user on how they interact with their in-person veterinarian.

We asked questions about their expectations from the staff and veterinarian, and even asked about their experiences when visiting their own doctors to get an understanding about general healthcare as it applies to the human, because it’s really them that will be using the app, not their pet.

Our team conducted a Competitor Analysis to see how VetLink could differentiate in the current market.

Our team made several iterations to find an aesthetic that was not only easy to follow, but fun and whimsical so that the user would enjoy their experience.

In addition to a mobile design, I designed a desktop Splash page to allow the product to be used on different devices.

VetLink gives a lighthearted, stress-free vet experience to pet-owners without even having to leave their home.
