Design Concept

For travelers desiring a relaxed experience, having to book accommodations from several different platforms while also maintaining a budget can deter from traveling due to the overwhelming amount of planning and financial stress.

Above shows the flow as the user builds a budget for their trip. The user has the option of being walked through the process by clicking "How does this work", where the application will then give a detailed tutorial on the applications functionalities

User Research

After collecting survey data from over 10 ideal potential users, the following data was discovered:

Process

Interview questions were drafted and conducted to see what the user’s experience has been like in booking their stays and how it could’ve been improved. Developing questions to optimize the most effective collection was crucial and was a main focus in the strategy of this UX Research.

Findings

  • 100% of travelers prefer to pay for their trip in full beforehand to avoid stress.
  • 100% of travelers are bored by the logistics of planning the trip, and would prefer to have an easy way to organize the logistics.
